Avondale Children's Center
CURRICULUM
The primary essential goal of any approach to children in
Avondale Children's Center is to build, nurture, and
celebrate the uniqueness of each individual.  It is our aim
that children know themselves as whole people, each of
whose heritage, family, home, abilities, thoughts, and
feelings are important and worthy.

The secondary essential goal is to provide the kind of living
experience that encourages understanding, acceptance, and
appreciation of all the things that contribute to the
uniqueness of each individual.

We acknowledge that a variety of teaching styles will exist
within any staff.  In order that staff members feel the
freedom to operate as their particular talents dictate, we
have adopted the following standards for curriculum
development.  Specifics, such as themes and activities are
left to the educated judgement of the teaching teams.
